He fell down a hole when he was a kid.

It was created sometime in his early career.

Here's another question though.. How did he build the cave like her did? No one person could do the work that he did.

Well the Batcave was there already. All he had to do was fill it with things. The hardest part I see is how did he tunnel down from Wayne Manor into the Batcave? That would have taken some heavy-duty equipment and a lot of help.

Then again here in Coral Gables (a City with impossible building codes) a guy built a private “Nightclub” in a basement in his house. Considering we are 10 feet or less above sea level a basement is quite rare. Not only that he dug it out under an existing concrete slab floor. The guy was busted for something and that’s when the public found out.

So a really rich guy tunneling down into a cave is not such a stretch.

As far as the hardware he could borrow it from Wayne Tech and he also has Harold who helps him build and maintain things around the cave. That much has been in comics for many years.

I understand.. but how did he get the steel beams in there? They were there before Harold.

Well if I were Bruce Wayne what would I do….

Well with that much money he could set up a dummy account/corporation somewhere that was not traceable back to him.

Then he could (have the dummy corporation) hire a construction crew to come in and set up the Cave with the steel and such. The construction crews could be blindfolded and brought into the cave, once inside they only know they are in a cave, not where the cave is or what the cave is.

Wayne can easily bring in some of things Batmobile, Batboat, Computers etc… himself Lucius Fox would willingly cover for Wayne regarding any missing items from Wayne Tech and such. Wayne could even have the items sold to the dummy corporation.

Wayne does not do it all himself. I recall a BTAS episode where there was a special mechanic he had that worked on the Batmobile for him. The mechanic knows it’s the Batmobile, but not who Batman is.

Bruce has Harold and Alfred for most everything else.

He doesn't have Harold anymore.. but since you haven't read HUSH yet, I won't spoil that for ya.

the crews is something I thought about.. and figured that he did, but I wasn't sure if they ever told anywhere.
I didn't think Lucius knew that Bruce was Batman...

That's a pretty good thought over the construction of the cave. We know Wayne Tech was very instrumental in the building Batman's vehicles.

Detective Comics #0 shows the (Modern Age) discovery of the Batcave. As a boy, Bruce explored underground tunnels he stumbled upon that led from under the well. As an adult he explores them again with Alfred and falls through a hole where he then finds the full Batcave. I'd do some scans but I'm too lazy.
