 Dan's Collectibles
« Thread Started on Aug 22, 2004, 1:12pm »

Well, as I begin to get ready to set up the bat roo, I keep finding more and more colelctibles I have forgotten about. As my move continues, Ill show you guys more and more cool stuff I find. Hopefully soon I'll have a new concrete page featuring my collection, considering my old version is outdated, and might not be up anymore. Anyways, heres a couple things, and Caleson feel free to use em on the site.

First here is a VHS display stand for Batman and Robin that I got to keep when it was released:

Here are some Christmas tree ornaments:

This one is from the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament 2002 Collection: If you attach it to a stringed light, the batsignal glows. They actually give a paragraph description on the back of the box (I still have the original boxes for each ornament if anyone has any questions)

And here are two awesome ornaments from the WB store awhile back, from the Christopher Radko collection:

Me too, but they are still open in Australia. Also we have a store locally called Animation and they have a lot of WB items, as stock. They still have the WB Tags on them, I got the Batman Baseball Jersey not too long ago. Maybe they are part of a chain, I’m not sure.

There is always the Web, I think they still have a Web Store and BOF has a link to it. It’s nothing like the old stores were, but at least it’s something.

Nice start Dan. Those are three Ornaments I've never seen and don't have. I do have a lot of Batman Ornaments, in fact I have more Batman and Grinch on my tree each year than Santa Claus.

Cool ornaments. I don't have any of those, a couple Hallmark ones and some newer plastic ones by Kurt S. Adler.

I think if most fans could've gotten that promo piece, they would've taken it. It does look cool and is nice for display.

Yeah those Promo Pieces are all but impossible to get. I've asked at the stores if I could get one after they were done with them and was told no.

They have orders to destroy them, as they are copyrighted material.

Still you find some on eBay from time to time.

Promo stuff seems difficult to get ahold of. I suppose you could do like my brother did. He used to work at a Spencer's gift store in the mall. He had to take some trash out to the dumpster and found some gigantic cardboard promo posters that Music Land was about to throw out, but hadn't yet smashed them down. He quickly snuck them over to the parking lot and into his car. One was for Metallica - St. Anger and the other was the latest James Bond film. I think he might sell the 077 one on eBay.

So what I guess I'm saying is, if you really want a promo piece, just hang out at the dumpster. :P
