The Third Batman Convention Exclusive Figure

You've seen the other two. What is the "third" figure you ask?

Here’s a link to the third 2004 Comic Con Batman figure. It’s a battle damaged version of the fully unmasked Batman. This is the only one I’ve seen so far.

Starting Bid $199.99 and a Buy It Now price of $300.00!

What a way to make some scalpers day! Gee Thanks Mattel!

I can only hope that Mattel NEVER does this to collectors again. The “normal” Con Exclusive figures are going for $50 plus on eBay right now. As it is I’ve already started losing bids on them. My ONLY hope at getting this one is to win a bid on a sealed box so that the seller does not know what he has and maybe I’ll get lucky.

Wow. He sure is damaged. And why does he get the special dye job that the other two don't? To make up for absolutley no difference between the others except for a rip in the costume?

A guy selling one these on eBay said in his auction that there was third variant with a blue & grey costume. Must not've been true.

I was thinking the same thing that the third variant would have been last years Blue and Gray Con figure with the cowl off. So far there are no bids on this one. I’m bidding on unopened box figures so maybe I’ll get lucky and get one of these. However, I’ve been outbid twice already.

Nobody bid on that one and it looks like it was relisted.

Strange. I found an auction for a battle-damaged, cowl off figure the other week. It was $1 with no bids, and 23 hours left. I put a proxy of $15. A few hours later I went to check and it was already $75.

The third variant's my favorite, but maybe I'll have to try my luck with an unopened box...

I thought about going the unopened box route too. I won a third auction of an unopened box one for $35 when nobody else bid. I had already won two “open box” auctions and thought I was done. I did not think anybody else would not bid as I was beaten out twice in auctions already.

Still I’ve only seen two of the “Battle Damaged” show up on eBay so far, one did not sell and the other had not reached Reserve the last time I looked.

Well the second one Caleson and I saw at $75.00 went for $164.50 on eBay. The first one I saw went unsold and I think it was relisted, although I’m not sure.

My second one arrived in the Mail today. It is another “Unmasking” because I misread the title that said “Unmasked”. Yet a third one (still sealed) is on its way to me. I hope it’s the one with the cowl off or better yet the cowl off Battle Damage.

These might be good to buy if only to refit Zipline Batman with a better cape.
